Once the Exploramar is in deeper waters the fun and the real action begins, as the opportunity may arise to catch one of the big ones such as blue marlin, white marlin and various species of tuna etc. |

| Bottom Fishing This type of fishing entails the Exploramar sailing to a reef whereby we will drop anchor and begin to fish. The reef is only 20 minutes away from the harbour. Many species of fish can be caught when bottom fishing including amberjack, barracuda, bream, dorado, monkfish, moray eels, rays, red snapper, sharks, tuna, wahoo, etc. | ||

| As official members of The Billfish Foundation, Exploramar operate a Tag & Release policy on board. Because of this, you as the angler will qualify for a much deserved Billfish Foundation Release Certificate upon the release of your big catch. |
| All billfish that are caught by the Exploramar are tagged alongside the boat. It is at this point when we make an accurate estimate of the weight of the fish. The weight is established based upon the length and width of the fish along with other factors that are known by our extremely experienced crew. |
| The fish is then fully revived before it is released. The revival time depends upon the length of time that the fish was fought for. Revival time can at times take up to 10 minutes; however, the majority are generally released in a much shorter time. |

| Under NO circumstances will Exploramar ever bring a billfish on board for photos. This will cause unnecessary stress upon the fish, which could in actual fact threaten its life. |
| Photos can be taken by the angler whilst the fish is alongside the boat. Exploramar also has video cameras on board in order to catch the full coverage of the impressive fight from the very beginning right up to the release of the fish. |
| The Exploramar is very particular about the safety of the angler, the crew, and of course the fish that has provided you with the fabulous sport. |
| On board of the Exploramar, not only do we release all billfish, but we also follow a catch and release policy with all species of sharks and rays.
